HOW TO SURVIVE A FLOOD

In the event of a flood, your first priority is to find higher ground. Do not cross flowing streams or drive on roads that are flooded. If you cannot leave your home because the water has risen before you can leave to a safer place, go to the highest place in the house such as your roof or attic. You should turn off all electricity at the breaker and attempt to listen for updates on the flood and other news that could possibly concern you. As floodwaters may have come in contact with or contain dangerous chemicals and other toxic materials, if you come in contact with the waters, wash the afflicted body part with soap and water.
